Arthur Chan serves as the EVP and West Coast Chief Digital Officer for MDC Media Partners. MDC Media Partners is the media network for all of MDC’s media assets. Its mission is to be the media communications network — built of the digital age and powered by data – that propels the most progressive marketers to new levels of success, and the most ambitious talent to new levels of achievement. Agencies within the MDC network include Assembly Media, Anomaly, CP+B, Donor, Media Kitchen and 72 & Sunny.
Previously, Chan served as the EVP of Digital Marketing for Palisades MediaGroup. Chan produced award winning campaigns for Netflix, Relativity Media, Focus Features, The Weinstein Company, A24, Paramount Vantage, New Line Cinema, Lionsgate, Miramax, MGM/UA and IMAX among many others. These accolades include the W3s, DMACs and the Movie Marking Key Art Awards. Beyond entertainment, Chan also oversaw digital marketing for clients that included Belkin, Dropbox, Mercury Insurance, UGG and BevMo. In 2014, Palisades was named thinkLA’s Boutique Agency of the Year.
Chan has also earned multiple awards and accolades throughout his career including a Gold Media Lion at Cannes, an Effie, Mediaweek’s Media Plan of the Year and the Media Magazine’s “Best of the Net” . A 2005 “Rising Star” in OMMA Magazine, he was named one of iMedia’s Top 10 Hottest Digital Marketers in 2011 and was thinkLA’s 2013 Hall of Fame inductee. Chan has also been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and Ad Age among other publications.
His background includes serving as a Marketing Director at Sony (Sony Connect) and as an Associate Communications Director at Team One Advertising in Los Angeles. Since 1995, Chan has also been with Suissa Miller and Saatchi & Saatchi.
