GM, Consumer Marketing at Skype

At Microsoft, Angie is the GM for Skype Consumer Marketing. Her team leads all go-to-market initiatives globally, including entertainment, broadcast, partnerships digital, social and CRM. Angie’s calls her team Integrated Audience Marketing because she believes that users should be at the heart of everything her team does. Since joining Skype in 2012, Angie has changed the way the company values marketing. She is often quoted saying “when the user doesn’t know whether it’s marketing or a product, we have done our job”. Skype marketing is rooted in all things digital and since the formation of the new marketing organization Skype has seen their community grow exponentially.

Prior to joining Skype in 2012, Angie ran her own integrated marketing promotions company partnering with major movie, television and gaming companies including Universal Studios, NBC and Capcom Entertainment. Prior to starting her own agency, she led numerous marketing organizations in technology companies for the enterprise and for consumers, including GTM roles at AT&T, Sun Microsystems and NetApp. Angie has successfully overseen various teams responsible for advertising, branding, emarketing, SEO, campaigns, communications and customer profile management.
