Scott Clark, VP of Brand Partnerships for Innovid makes a plea to the industry to stop calling for a common metric; while it is understandable, it is ultimately a fool’s errand. We need to stop looking for one single metric and instead ask ourselves to take on more complex modeling and thinking. It’s ultimately not about the lowest common denominator, but rather about understanding the true value of things. Similarly, it’s time to stop trying to define “what is TV” and instead accept that it is different things in different situations. When we shift focus to the customer journey connection, this will be the next step in making video convergence a reality.
